The eye was visible in video taken from the International Space Station (ISS) as it passed over the storm.

Beryl, a category 5 hurricane, the largest in the Saffir-Simpson scale, is heading to the island of Jamaica this Wednesday after causing damage to the Windward Islands. It also threatens the south of the Dominican Republic and Haiti, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) of the United States.

The hurricane center said satellite imagery shows a well-defined eye, expanding outflow. The eye was visible in video taken from the International Space Station (ISS) as it passed over the storm.
