Last year, R’Bonney Gabriel managed to win Miss Universe just a few weeks after being crowned Miss USA, so the pressure is on for this year’s delegates. Today we are going to present the 10 favorites for this year’s pageant that will crown the most beautiful woman in the United States.

Having a reigning Miss Universe seems to have ignited the pageant girls in the country since Miss USA 2023 has delivered top tier calibre of candidates. Do you think Miss USA 2023 can manage to pull a back to back and win Miss Universe again this year? Fans can vote for their favorite contestant in the contest online. The winner will be guaranteed a spot in the pageant semifinals! Voting costs $2 per vote, and the winner will be announced during the announcement of the semifinalists and recognized during the applause portion near the end of the pageant.

Contestants must be at least 18 years old and, with the current changes in rules, even married women are able to participate in the competition. • The Miss USA pageant was conceived in 1950 after Yolande Betbeze, winner of the competing Miss America pageant, refused to pose for publicity photographs while she was wearing a swimsuit.

• The first Asian-American lady to win Miss USA was Macel Wilson in 1962; The first Hispanic was Laura Martínez-Herring in 1985; the first African American was Carole Gist in 1990; and the first Miss USA of Middle Eastern descent was Rima Fakih in 2010.
