Argentina vs Benin is available to stream in the United States on ViX, with access also listed through the ViX channel on Amazon Prime Video. Lionel Messi’s farewell match kicks off Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT at Buenos Aires’ Estadio Monumental. U.S. coverage is in Spanish.
For anyone who has followed Messi through Argentina’s heartbreaks and eventual triumphs, this is more than another international friendly. It is a chance to watch the captain wear the national team’s colors one final time, with the farewell taking place in front of his home supporters.
Here is what American viewers need to know about the live stream, kickoff schedule and what to check before settling in for the match.
ViX is the main U.S. streaming option listed by both NBC Sports and The Sporting News. The latter reports that Argentina vs Benin has no traditional U.S. television channel and is available exclusively in Spanish through ViX, including its Amazon Prime Video channel.
That distinction matters: “available on Prime Video” does not mean the match is automatically included with your existing Amazon subnoscription. Amazon’s official listing presents ViX Premium as a channel you subscribe to within Prime Video. Check the channel’s current terms and the match listing before purchasing access.

Messi’s Argentina story was never just about extraordinary goals. It was also about the long wait for a senior international title, the weight of expectation and the release that came when the trophies finally arrived.
Argentina’s Copa América victories in 2021 and 2024, with the 2022 World Cup between them, transformed that story. Those milestones give this farewell its emotional force: supporters are saying goodbye to a captain whose greatest international achievements came after years of disappointment.
For U.S. fans, the occasion also connects two versions of Messi: the player associated with Argentina’s defining moments and the Inter Miami star they have watched closer to home. NBC Sports reports that his international farewell comes while his club career remains active. This match should not be confused with a farewell to professional soccer altogether.
The score will matter, but so will the quieter details: his walk onto the field, his exchanges with teammates and the crowd’s reaction whenever he receives the ball.
Before kickoff, check three things: whether your subnoscription opens the live event, whether your preferred device plays the stream and whether the listing shows the correct start time.
The Sporting News advertises a seven-day trial for new subscribers accessing ViX through Prime Video. However, treat that as a reported offer—not a universal promise of free viewing. Confirm eligibility, renewal pricing and cancellation terms on the official subnoscription screen before signing up.
Do not purchase a different sports package simply because it carries other Argentina matches. The U.S.-specific guide cited here identifies ViX for this fixture.
Once access is confirmed, open the event ahead of kickoff. For this particular night, avoiding a last-minute login problem is worth the extra preparation.
