One ticket and six matching numbers could bring an end to Powerball’s nearly three-month jackpot drought. The drawing on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, is worth an estimated $707 million, the game’s largest jackpot of the year, after no ticket matched all five white balls and the red Powerball in Wednesday night’s drawing.

Saturday’s winning numbers will be drawn at 10:59 p.m. ET (7:59 p.m. PT) in Tallahassee, Florida. The cash value is estimated at $307.3 million before taxes for a winner who chooses the lump-sum option. This story will be updated as soon as the Aug. 1 winning numbers are released and again when lottery officials confirm whether the jackpot was won.

The blank spaces will be replaced with the official results once the drawing takes place. A jackpot winner may not be confirmed immediately because participating lotteries must check their sales records after the numbers are drawn.

Did anyone win the Powerball jackpot tonight?

There is no confirmed jackpot winner yet because the Aug. 1 drawing has not taken place.

To win the grand prize, a ticket must match all five white balls plus the red Powerball. The odds of doing so are approximately 1 in 292.2 million.

After the drawing, there are two main possibilities: if at least one ticket matches all six numbers, the jackpot has been won; if none does, the prize rolls over to the next drawing on Monday.

If multiple tickets hit the jackpot, the prize is split among the winning tickets.

How much is the Powerball jackpot for Aug. 1?

Saturday’s estimated jackpot stands at:

$707 million.

That headline number represents the annuity value. A jackpot winner would have two payment choices:

Payment optionEstimated value
30-year annuity$707 million
One-time cash payment$307.3 million

Both figures are before applicable taxes.

Under the annuity option, the winner receives one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

The cash option represents the amount available in the jackpot prize pool to fund a single lump-sum payment and is therefore substantially lower than the advertised annuity.

What time is the Powerball drawing tonight?

The drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, Aug. 1.

Ticket sales do not close at the same time nationwide. Each participating lottery sets its own cutoff, which can be well before the drawing begins.

Where is the Powerball drawing held?

Powerball drawings are conducted at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, Florida.

Drawings take place three nights a week — Monday, Wednesday and Saturday — at 10:59 p.m. ET.

The location of the drawing does not affect where a winning ticket can be sold. Players across participating U.S. jurisdictions are competing against the same national combination.

How to watch the Powerball drawing live

Players can watch the drawing through Powerball’s official website. Local television stations in participating markets may also carry the drawing.

If you miss the live drawing, the official results can be checked afterward through Powerball or the lottery that sold your ticket.

What were the last Powerball winning numbers?

The previous drawing was held Wednesday, July 29.

The numbers were:

30, 36, 40, 42, 57

Powerball: 2Power Play: 2X

No ticket matched all six numbers.

One ticket sold in Maryland matched all five white balls but missed the Powerball, winning $1 million.

That rollover pushed the jackpot to an estimated $707 million for Saturday.

Previous results can be useful for checking an old ticket, but they cannot predict the next drawing. Each valid combination has the same chance of being selected regardless of what happened in earlier drawings.

When was the Powerball jackpot last won?

No one has hit the jackpot since May 2, 2026.

That night, two tickets sold in Florida and Texas matched the winning combination and shared a $20 million jackpot.

The lack of a grand-prize winner since then has allowed the jackpot to build through the summer and reach its current $707 million estimate.

April 29$143 millionIndiana / Kansas
April 6$230.8 millionDelaware
March 2$250.8 millionArkansas

Saturday’s $707 million prize is therefore larger than any Powerball jackpot won so far in 2026.

How do you play Powerball?

A standard Powerball play costs $2.

Players choose:

Players can select their own numbers or use Quick Pick to have a terminal randomly generate the combination.

Matching all five white balls plus the Powerball wins the jackpot.

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

How do I check my Powerball ticket?

Start with the five white balls.

They do not need to appear on your ticket in the same order in which they were drawn. All five values simply need to match.

Then check the red Powerball separately.

You also don’t need six matches to win money.

MatchesBase prize
5 white balls + PowerballJackpot
5 white balls$1 million
4 + Powerball$50,000
4 white balls$100
3 + Powerball$100
3 white balls$7
2 + Powerball$7
1 + Powerball$4
Powerball only$4

Prize amounts differ in California, where non-jackpot prizes are calculated on a pari-mutuel basis.

What are the odds of winning Powerball?

The overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are about 1 in 24.87.

Winning the jackpot is dramatically more difficult:

Prize tierApproximate odds
Jackpot1 in 292,201,338
$1 million1 in 11,688,054
$50,0001 in 913,129
$100 — 4 white balls1 in 36,525
Any prize1 in 24.87

A long jackpot drought does not make a winning ticket more likely in the next drawing. Each drawing is independent.

What is Power Play?

For an additional $1 per play, players can add Power Play to potentially increase non-jackpot prizes.

Because Saturday’s jackpot exceeds $150 million, the possible multipliers are:

2X, 3X, 4X and 5X.

The 10X multiplier is not available when the advertised jackpot is above $150 million.

There is also a special rule for Match 5. A ticket that matches all five white balls without the Powerball normally wins $1 million; with Power Play, that prize becomes $2 million, regardless of the multiplier drawn.

Power Play does not multiply the jackpot.

What happens if nobody wins the $707 million jackpot?

The prize rolls over again.

The next scheduled drawing would be Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at 10:59 p.m. ET.

Powerball would then announce a new jackpot estimate based in part on sales. The next prize should therefore not be assumed before the official estimate is released.

What should you do if you win Powerball?

First, protect the ticket.

A winning ticket must be claimed in the jurisdiction where it was purchased, and claim deadlines vary by lottery.

For a major prize, players should verify the ticket through the official lottery rather than relying solely on screenshots, social media posts or unofficial results.

Jackpot winners also face decisions involving payment method, taxes, privacy rules and financial planning that differ depending on where the ticket was purchased.

What is the largest Powerball jackpot ever?

The Powerball record remains $2.04 billion, won by a single ticket sold in California for the Nov. 7, 2022 drawing.

The $707 million prize available Saturday is nowhere near that all-time mark, but it has already become the largest Powerball jackpot of 2026.
