The Swedish striker led his team to a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the first leg of the EFL Cup semifinals, putting Newcastle one step closer to the final. Isak’s goal marked his tenth in the last nine official matches for his team. The former Real Sociedad forward shows no signs of slowing down, proving to be an unstoppable force with an insatiable hunger for goals that Eddie Howe’s side is capitalizing on. Newcastle now has a strong chance of reaching the decisive match to win a title that still eludes their trophy cabinet, despite appearing in two finals (1976 and 2023). Their opponent at Wembley on march 16 will be determined by the Liverpool-Tottenham clash, with the first leg set to begin this thursday.
