The 78th Emmy Awards will take place this Monday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, bringing together television’s biggest stars for one of the industry’s most anticipated nights. Red carpet arrivals are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. PT, followed by the main ceremony at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT, actress Mariska Hargitay serving as host.
Among this year’s leading contenders, The Pitt enters the ceremony as the most-nominated program with 25 nods. Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of Hacks is also expected to be one of the night’s major contenders after earning 24 nominations, setting a new record for the most nominations received by a comedy series in a single year and surpassing the previous mark of 23 shared by The Bear and The Studio.
Who are the 2026 Emmy nominees?
The Emmys are divided into three ceremonies. The Creative Arts categories were awarded on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6. The main ceremony will take place this Monday, September 14, when the winners for Best Drama Series, Best Food Series, Best Lead Actor and Actress in a Drama Series, and others will be announced.

As in 2025, HBO leads all platforms with 122 Emmy nominations, maintaining its position at the top of the rankings. Netflix follows with 111 nominations, while Apple TV+ earned 87, placing third among the platforms with the most recognition from the Television Academy.
