Riyadh will host an electrifying showdown this Saturday, October 31, at the ANB Arena, where Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez looks to claim the WBC super middleweight world title from Christian Mbilli. For the Mexican fighter, this bout offers the ideal opportunity to reclaim the 168-pound throne, move past his loss to Terence Crawford, and solidify his legacy at a venue he already knows well, having previously defeated William Scull there.
However, the matchup presents a serious challenge. Nicknamed “The Panther,” Mbilli is known for his relentless aggression and devastating punch volume. While not the most polished technician, his elite conditioning allows him to maintain a suffocating pace that eventually wears down his opponents. Faced with this threat, Canelo will need to rely on all of his experience and pinpoint precision to dodge dangerous exchanges, neutralize Mbilli’s momentum, and dictate the tempo of the fight from start to finish.
