America and Cruz Azul will face off in the “Clasico Joven” (Young Classic), which will be played this Tuesday, April 1 (9:15 PM ET / 6:15 PM PT) for the first leg of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals. After defeating Chivas de Guadalajara 4-1 on aggregate in the round of 16, the team coached by André Jardine confirmed its strong form and why it is one of the favorites to win the CONCACAF Champions League. In the domestic tournament, the Águilas lead the Liga MX Clausura Tournament with 30 points from 13 rounds played.
Cruz Azul, for its part, did the same by defeating the Seattle Sounders, one of the heavyweights of the CONCACAF Champions League, with a resounding 4-1 aggregate victory. Under the direction of Vicente Sánchez, the Máquina Cementera (Cement Machine) is shaping up to be América’s biggest obstacle for the remainder of the competition.
The match between América and Cruz Azul will be played this Tuesday, April 1, starting at 9:15 PM ET (8:15 PM CT / 6:15 PM PT) at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes.
The official broadcast of America vs. Cruz Azul in the United States will be available on FOX Sports 2 channels and the ViX Premium streaming service.
