The traditional Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade celebrates its 98th edition this Thursday, November 28 in downtown New York City with 22 giant balloons, 34 fabulous floats, 7 balloon wheels, among others. The event will be hosted by the stars of NBC’s “TODAY” show: Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker. What time does the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade start?
The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. ET (5:30 a.m. PT) on Thursday, November 28, Thanksgiving Day.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Location and Route
The parade’s 2.5-mile route begins at West 77th Street and Central Park West on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
The parade will first head south on Central Park West for 18 blocks to Columbus Circle.
From Columbus Circle, the parade turns onto Central Park South and heads east to 6th Avenue.
From Central Park South and 6th Avenue, the parade turns onto 6th Avenue and heads south to 34th Street.
The parade then marches south from 6th Avenue for 25 blocks to 34th Street.
From 34th Street, the parade turns west to 7th Avenue.
The parade’s end point is Macy’s Herald Square at 34th Street and 7th Avenue.
Where to watch the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? TV Channel
The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC and Peacock, hosted by Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker of NBC’s “Today” from 8:30 a.m. to noon in all time zones, followed by a rerun on NBC at 2 p.m. in all time zones.
