The Americans again will use Tuesday’s contest as preparation for their important Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal against an undetermined opponent in Austin, Texas, on Nov. 16. The winner of that contest will qualify for 2024 Copa America, which will be hosted by the United States next summer.
Oman, on the other hand, kicks off their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign soon and will love to enter that competition on the back of a win against the USA. The Middle Eastern nation have never qualified for that prestigious tournament in their history but there is reason to be optimistic this time around.
