The 2025 Formula 1 season reaches a fever pitch with the , where the battle for the title has intensified. The main race is scheduled for this Sunday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. ET (Eastern Time), while the exciting Sprint race took place on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET. All eyes are on McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, who have been joined by a formidable Max Verstappen in the fight for the drivers’ championship with only six races remaining.

Verstappen demonstrated his growing dominance in the Red Bull by securing pole position with a 0.291-second advantage over Norris, without even needing a final flying lap. The Dutchman had already won Saturday’s Sprint race, cutting the gap to leader Piastri to 55 points and to Norris to 25. Norris, meanwhile, took the front row by just 0.006 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari, although Piastri struggled in qualifying and could only manage sixth.

Saturday was marked by drama in the Sprint race, where the two McLarens took each other out on the first lap. Piastri, while attempting to overtake, made contact with Nico Hulkenberg’s Sauber, causing both McLarens and Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin to be out of the race. This incident comes hot on the heels of Norris being penalized for overtaking his teammate in Singapore, adding a new chapter of tension to the internal rivalry.

With Verstappen’s supremacy in qualifying and mounting pressure on the McLarens, the United States Grand Prix promises to be an action-packed event at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). Fans will be able to watch the main race live this Sunday, and there is the possibility of finding live online broadcasts from various platforms, including free ones. All eyes will be on the pit lane and the track to see if Verstappen can continue to close the gap on the leaders.
